I have been involved with surgical devices since 1983. I started out developing a number of systems including  a number of phaco emusifier aspirators and retinal systems. My experience included a Director of Surigical R&D and then Director of Global Medical Affairs for Cataract Systems, OVD's and Lasers.  I gained a deep understanding of the systems in the marketplace, especially in regards to fluids and cutting abilities.  I also gained a strong understanding on how companies spin or exaggerate some claims,  and downplay disadvantages.
